That's why we will bring the information to you!
The MMTA Career Exploration Unit connects students and communities with industry professionals who share real-world insight into trucking careers, training pathways, and opportunities available right here in Maine.
You can hear it from us, and from your neighbor. At select events, we partner with MMTA member companies across the state to feature people from your own community who share real experiences, helpful tips, and how trucking connects to life right where you live.
WHO SHOULD BOOK THE CAREER EXPLORATION TRAILER?
We want the Career Exploration Trailer to be seen and experienced anywhere in Maine that people are gathered who might be interested in a career in trucking. That includes:
- Career fairs;
- CTE's and High Schools;
- MMTA members having a driver appreciation or safety event;
- Touch-a-Truck events;
- Community events;
- And more!

HOW TO SCHEDULE THE CAREER EXPLORATION TRAILER FOR YOUR EVENT
Step 1: Review the calendar below. Dates shown indicate times when the unit is already scheduled.
Step 2: Be prepared to include the requested date(s), a contact phone number, a brief description of the event, the anticipated number of participants, any costs associated with the event, and any additional details that may be helpful.
- Schools may fill out this 2–3 minute form to request the unit
- Community planners, MMTA members, and other event organizers may use this request form
Step 3: Derek from MMTA will follow up by email or phone to discuss the request.

The MMTA Career Exploration Unit is made possible entirely through the support of our members.
Our members don’t just fund this experience; they actively help bring it to life by partnering with MMTA at select events across the state. Through these partnerships, we show students and communities how trucking careers exist right in their own backyard, supported by local employers invested in Maine’s future workforce.
MMTA members have the opportunity to:
- Participate in select Career Exploration Unit events
- Engage with students, job seekers, and their own community about their experience in trucking
- Share real-world insight into trucking careers and pathways
- Support workforce development in their local communities
