The mandate prohibiting unvaccinated foreign nationals from entering Canada, including truck drivers, took effect January 15, 2022. We have been receiving reports from members who are describing business interruptions (including loss of business) because they are unable to find enough qualified/vaccinated drivers to meet demand.
MMTA is continuing to advocate for an acceptable solution to the mandate in Canada and to the US mandate due to be implemented on January 22, 2022. In order to advocate, it is important that we have the latest information on the disruption to businesses and the supply chain.
