Today, Maine Senator Susan Collins office has signed on as a co-sponsor to the DRIVE-Safe Act. Members of the MMTA discussed this important piece of legislation with her during our Call-on-Washington in April and she has been very receptive to supporting this apprenticeship program because highway safety is at the forefront of the bill. Senator Collins joins Senator King as a co-sponsor of the Senate bill, while Congressman Golden is a co-sponsor of the companion House bill.
