John Austin Trucking Foundation Awards $2,000 Training Grant to Darin Doe

Darin Doe

The John Austin Trucking Foundation is pleased to announce that Darin Doe of Winslow has been awarded a $2,000 award to help him pursue a new career in Maine’s trucking industry.

For Doe, earning his Class A CDL represents more than a professional credential – it marks the beginning of a complete career transition and a long-term commitment to an industry he plans to remain in until retirement. He attended the Commercial Truck Driving program at Northeast Technical Institute (NTI) in Scarborough, where he received the training necessary to launch his trucking career.

Doe became interested in trucking after learning about the wide range of opportunities available within the industry. After researching the profession, he was drawn to the potential for career growth, the opportunity to travel, and the chance to build a more secure financial future for his family.

Doe brings a diverse employment background that includes customer service, technical, and management roles. He believes those experiences have prepared him for the responsibility, professionalism, and commitment required in the trucking industry.

The John Austin Trucking Foundation is proud to support individuals like Darin who are investing in themselves, strengthening Maine’s workforce, and helping meet the growing demand for professional truck drivers across the state. We wish him continued success as he begins this exciting new chapter in his career.
