FIRST JATF RECIPIENT RECEIVES AWARD

Congratulations to Allison Kelley who is the first recipient to be granted a $2,000 award from the John Austin Trucking Foundation. Allison currently goes to school at Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor and is enrolled in the Diesel Truck and Heavy Equipment Technology program.

As a full-time student also working for Ballard Truck Center in Hermon, Allison has earned a reputation for her strong work ethic, her passion for mechanical things, for being a good communicator and for having an eagerness to learn as evidenced by her impressive GPA over 3.7.

If she looks familiar, you might recognize her from MMTA’s ‘Go Your Way’ workforce development YouTube series that focuses on different careers in the trucking industry. At the time, Allison was working for another MMTA member, Treeline in Lincoln, and her enthusiasm for her future career prospects was as evident then as it is now.

Congratulations Allison, we look forward to seeing you do great things in the Maine trucking industry in the future!
