LOCATION UPDATE:
After almost a month after closing the Bangor TSA Enrollment Center, we have received an update on a temporary location/date/times while they find and staff a permanent Bangor location. The temporary location is at 611 Hammond St. Here is the vendor’s response and a screen shot of the TSA’s site:
“As of October 19, 2022, details have been posted to our website for two enrollment events. The first event will occur on Wednesday, October 26, from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. The second will occur on Wednesday, November 9, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, 11:10 AM – 12:30 PM, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, and 3:10 PM – 5:00 PM. Again, these details as well as the address are posted on our website at UES – Locator (https://tsaenrollmentbyidemia.tsa.dhs.gov/locator) when searching for enrollment services in the Bangor area.”
PROCESSING DELAY UPDATE:
TSA has also indicated they are “experiencing increased enrollment volumes for all TSA vetted populations, including TWIC, due to changes in the labor force and supply chain demands” which may prolong processing times. While they indicate that the majority of applicants are approved in less than 48-hours, they recommend that all applicants apply for their TWIC a minimum of 60 days before an applicant requires a valid TWIC. They further indicate the following:
“Enrollment agents and customer service representatives are informing all applicants that some applications can take up to 60 days. Additionally, TSA implemented new automated recurring notifications (i.e., e-mail and text messages) to provide recurring updates to individuals with applications exceeding 29 days.”
