Nobody has perfect credit and there are various reasons why your loan application might have been denied by Maine Savings Bank FCU. That’s why you are here – to answer the question of what to do next.
The MMTA Education Loan Program is designed by our organization and administered by MSFCU to reduce the financial impact on Maine people who want to get their commercial driver’s license (CDL). The standards we have set for the loan program are a balance between default risk and helping those who truly need help financing their career objectives.
We know there is more to your story than a credit score, which is why we have designed our program with an appeal process if there are extenuating circumstances that deserve further consideration. It is a two-step process.
Step 1: Please fill out the form below for MMTA to review. Provide additional information that you would like us to consider when we take a second look at your loan application.
PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE ANY CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION AS THIS IS NOT A WAY TO SECURELY TRANSMIT DATA.
Step 2: Download a free, fast and secure copy of your EQUIFAX credit report by going to www.annualcreditreport.com. When downloaded, use a secure file transfer site such as WeTransfer to submit the report to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once reviewed, someone from the MMTA will contact you within 48 business hours from your request for appeal. This might include requesting additional information (we can set up a secure file transfer at that time for confidentiality) and/or a phone call to discuss your request. By submitting this form, you are giving MMTA permission to communicate with the CDL school and also review the reasons for your application denial, including your credit score, with Maine Savings FCU.
