Our third-party BOC-3 processing partner, Truck Process Agents of America (TPAA), has updated their service structure. Moving forward, BOC-3 filings through TPAA will require an annual renewal/maintenance fee. Previously, your filing was a one-time process that remained active indefinitely until cancelled.
What You Need to Know
- New Annual Fee: To maintain active process agent coverage, clients must now pay an annual renewal fee. TPAA anticipates the fee to be between $25 and $35.
- Action Required: You will receive a renewal notice from Truck Process Agents of America prior to your filing expiration date. You must complete the renewal to keep your filing active.
- Risk of Non-Compliance: Failure to renew your BOC-3 annually will result in the cancellation of your process agents. This will put your company out of compliance with the FMCSA and risk the suspension of your operating authority.
Why This Change is Happening
Truck Process Agents of America indicates that they are implementing this annual model to ensure all active motor carriers maintain verified, up-to-date, and accurate legal representation across all 50 states. This routine maintenance helps protect businesses from costly compliance gaps.
Next Steps
MMTA is working closely with TPAA to make this transition as smooth as possible. If you do have your filing through Truck Process Agents of America, they will send detailed instructions, pricing, and deadlines to your inbox well before your specific renewal date.
