Maine Truck PAC

Many pundits believe Maine is at a crucial precipice when it comes to our economy, our businesses, our way of life and our overall prosperity. One would think that the emphasis that businesses and taxpayers have placed on lowering our tax burden, improving the business climate, controlling state spending and creating/retaining quality jobs should have affected the decisions of our elected leaders in the last election cycle but, sadly, not much has changed. Maine still sits at the bottom of most economic rankings as a friendly place to do business due to a lack of concern and respect for what Maine companies are up against to provide meaningful employment to citizens of this State. The Maine Truck PAC asks for your assistance to change this detrimental attitude in Augusta.

Now is the time to stand up and change our fortunes or suffer the permanent consequences, but it will not come without a price. In our past fundraising efforts, members of the MMTA recognized the importance of taking a stand against our elected officials who don’t seem to acknowledge the need for policy change in Maine and contributed record amounts to the Maine Truck PAC. With these donations (and their subsequent utilization to elect business friendly candidates) came the realization by many throughout the state of the significance of the trucking industry and our unwillingness to accept the status quo while our businesses suffer.

Please consider supporting our efforts to elect business-friendly leaders. Make no mistake about it, improving our business climate and our chances for economic survival cannot happen without the sacrifice and commitment of every Maine citizen and every Maine business. We hope you will seriously consider supporting the Maine Truck PAC through sponsorship of the golf tournament and show everyone that the trucking industry will continue to play a prominent role delivering prosperity to our great state.
